Started working on a colored version of those sketches of Ida and Gerda.
Here's a little preview of Ida with BLACK HAIR?!
I'm also trying out all types of reds for her outfit, but the colors you see above are most likely not official.

I love the pink purple and red colours on the top and front of the outfit! I'm not a huge fan of the lighter mauvy colour for the sleeve and dress though. Her dark hair looks fantastic on her, I reckon. 
You could also maybe try a very dark brown, but I like it dark.
